grateful for october
here are a few things im grateful for (as a new englander, who, after 25 years has finally started appreciating the seasons).
morning walks through the forest, the leaves are falling, the air is misty, and im suddenly inspired to write poetry again.
the yellow ones are my favorite-
half committal-
not yet brittle but already broken.
autumn leaves fall from trees,
the wound reopens.
the miseducation of lauryn hill on the ride home. one of the first CDs i bought as i started moving off streaming. there's no such thing on an album as good as tMoLH, but i was particularly feeling forgive me father.
Feed a man 'til he full and he still want beef
my kind partner who brings in strays and helps old ladies cross the street (no like literally).
tv w/ the bestie where we get such unique insights on society. this szn of love is blind shines light on the diversity of beliefs, race, and class in Colorado (between 25 & 35 y/o). and beastars answers how species dynamics impact every aspect of life in a world of semi-anthropomorphic animals.
noontime naps with our puppydog, which is my favorite part of working from home. everyone deserves a noontime nap with their puppydog. yes, this is part of my platform.
